HELP ME! How to setup FMLE 3.2 through FMLECmd.exe

Hi Brando,

I never do this by the way. I'm one of those people who just scour the forums without posting, we live from other people's questions

Your xml file is placed in the same folder as the cmd file. If that is the case this would mean that it is inside your Flash Media Live Encoder folder and so the path in your cmd file is incorrect with regards to the xml file.

Another way of tackling your problem and giving us a bit more feedback is by doing the following:

Load up an instance of cmd (if on win xp go to start - run and type cmd.exe) or if you are using windows 7 just go to start and then search for cmd (ditto for win vista).

PS I recommend moving your cmd file to your root folder (ie c:\). The placement of the cmd file doesn't really matter as all it does is tell FMLE to load up a profile and start streaming.

Now with your cmd instance running, type cd C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2\YOURCMDFILE.exe

(PPS, whilst using CMD and if you find typing long filenames is annoying try pressing Tab whilst typing the actual file name. It will autofind your file for you provided you are in the same folder)

Now fire up your cmd file from within cmd (that sounds weird?), this way it will log all the progress for us and it won't close. Please post what is happening here and we can help you further

BTW I can't help noticing that you said you loaded up a word document and typed in the details required for the cmd file. You should be using notepad and not Word for this as a word document won't actually function.

If you give me the exact location of all your files I can generate a cmd file for you which should work just fine

Thank you for signing up and replying, I laughed when you said you typically just read the forum questions. That's what I have usually done also.

Ok, down to business...I would greatly appreciate you writing me up a code as you stated at the end of your post. I truly think that along with my file placements is my largest issue here. I can double-click FMLECmd.exe from inside C:\ Program Files (x86)\ Adobe\ Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2\ FMLECmd.exe and it executes just fine.

I have created a folder and named it FME, I placed that folder in C drive. so its location is C:\ FME

Inside that folder I placed my profile named One.xml. That file was created directly through FMLE GUI so I know there shouldnt be any issues with it.

I have also gotten away from Word and only use notepad now

Here's what I have gotten when I went to CMD:

Now I moved the FMLECmd.exe file to C:\FMLECmd.exe then attempted to run it again inside CMD, here's what I got:

I think I have done everything you've asked, not sure if it means anything but when I tabbed in hopes of completing the folder find in CMD it would not populate .exe files. I dont know if that it normal or not, just may help in fixing my problem.

I think you meant the .bat file correct? because when I placed FMLECmd.exe inside C:\ I got a system error saying "The program can't start because LogSession.dll is missing from your computer.

Here is my log created by doubel-clicking the FMLECmd.exe once it was placed back inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2

One.xml profile is placed inside C:\FME
FMLECmd.exe is inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2
Logs are set to be saved to Logs folder in C:\FME

Edit: I was just doing my daily CC Cleaner and as I was cleaning the registry it said my .bat file is "Missing MUI Reference"
Is this telling me my .bat code is flawed in some way?

Don't worry about what CCleaner is saying about the missing mui reference. It's due to you renaming the file from a txt document to a bat file.

Put this after the last quotation mark with a space.
